I realized my true passion for photography in the darkroom. I was using my stepfather's old Pentax from the '60s in high school when I felt the thrill of watching a great photo develop right before my eyes. When certain moments are captured in a photography, we get to have them for the rest of our lives. We get to relive those moments. These are just some of the reasons why I keep finding myself behind the lens of a camera.

I took these pictures with my very old Pentax 35mm Camera which belonged to my stepfather from the time he was 14 years old.  Matt was helping me do a project for a college course called Optics for Artists.  The pictures didn't end up working out for the project, but I am so thankful to have them now. R.I.P. Matt.

I was just sitting back and enjoying the great performance while I snapped a few photos with my Pentax point-and-shoot.

Soraia is an amazing band that truly knows how to put on a performance at every show.  I was practicing with my new EOS Canon 50D, 18-200mm lens, and Speedlite 580EX II flash when after the second song, the band requested all the stage lights to be shut off! It set the mood, but it was tough to even see out of my viewfinder.  I was thankful for the challenge and this is what I came up with.
